Christmas Cheer & Saying Our Goodbyes...

Happy Saturday Ladies & Gents!!

This morning Erik and I woke up and immediately started cleaning. We vacuumed the living room, dining room, and bedroom. We swept the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. We wiped down the counters and window sills. Started laundry clothes, towels and the bedding. Basically we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off. Hehe
After cleaning we sat down and ate breakfast and then at about 4:30pm we started putting up the Christmas tree. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to put the tree up, probably before Halloween. I just love the lights and there's no way you can look at a tree and be sad. Tonight was really wonderful because we had Christmas music playing, we were singing and working on getting the tree all dressed up and to make things even better, it was actually chilly outside. We were able to put the windows up and for once Texas felt like winter time(: After all was said and done, we ended the night sad but happy. Our youngest puppy Tate was given to a really great man named Jerry. He was looking for a dog and even though we loved Tate, we knew that Jerry would be a great daddy to Tate. We hope that they can fall in love with each other like we love our other other 2 fur-babies Chief & Brooks. We really want to send a heartfelt thank you to Jerry for taking Tate to a wonderful home!!!

The pictures below are from putting our tree up! The 3rd to last picture with the 2 photos is of ornaments Erik and I have gotten to symbolize each year of our relationship. The left picture is of a chandelier, our 2010 ornament, we got for the start of our relationship May 8 2010. The right picture is our, 2011 ornament, one year engagement anniversary December 23 2011. We are still trying to find a 2012 ornament to symbolize our marriage on May 12 2012. Pinterest had some really great wedding ornament ideas, so maybe I'll do a little DIY wedding ornament-hmmmm....(:

Thank you for letting me share and enjoy!

Oh These Days & Being Busy!!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

This week has been busy for Erik & I. We had the Newlyweds Alexa & Josh over on Wednesday for dinner. We made fried pickles, fried jalapeƱos & BBQ chicken stuffed potatoes. We ate and watched the new Spiderman movie! It was a great night!!! Thursday we were with Erik's family at Texas Borders for dinner. Today Chief got to go to work with me and he had a BLAST!! Everyone LOVED him! He got lots of treats from the whole office. I was shocked at how fast the day went and unfortunately it ended badly. Erik's mom, sister, aunt & baby cousin were in an accident. Thank god they were all okay, but the Hummer that his mom drives is completely ruined!!! The woman driving the BMW in the wreck, was rushed to the hospital but is okay, she was just bleeding a lot! A very scary moment for the whole family as you can imagine. Going forward, this weekend should be fun! Erik and I might put up our Christmas tree tomorrow. (finally!) And Sunday we are hoping to go to church to praise god and sing about his everlasting greatness! {Amen!!} I am definitely looking forward to a relaxing pre-thanksgiving weekend!!! I hope your weekend is terrific & very slow!!!! Just remember.....Thanksgiving is almost here!!! Yay!!!

Below are the pictures from today unfortunately they are mixed in together. Thank you for letting me share and taking the time to look through the pictures.

God Bless You & Your Family!

Time flies when you're having fun being in love! {11.12.2012}

Happy Marvelous Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and found things that kept you busy but made it go by slow.
As we posted Friday, today we are celebrating 6 months of marriage! Wow! Time is just flying by. I really can't believe it's been 6 months already but, praise God, it has been the best 6 months of my life. And praise God, he has given us the greatest opportunities to grow these past 6 months. I decided that I would keep this post small so I could add pictures, so I will keep my word. So without further ado here are some of my bridal portraits I took just for Erik and just a few of our favorite wedding pictures!

Thank you so much for reading and viewing the pictures! And as always, thank you for letting us share with you.

God bless

Megan
