OCTOBER BE GOOD TO ME {10.01.2015}

This month, we are busy! That statement seems so easy and nice. Although I know that we will have fun, we are still swamped with things to do. What a blessing that we get to fill every weekend with something new and exciting.

Here's a look at our calendar:

October 3 - Acupuncture
October 4 - Church and day out with nephews
October 10 - Rice Harvest Festival and Fight Night
October 11 - Texas Ren Fest
October 17 - Friend's Engagement Shower
October 18 - Church and Saint Arnold Brewery
October 22 - E's Twenty-Fourth Birthday
October 24 - Family Reunion
October 25 - Church and Baby Alli's Second Birthday Party
October 31 - Halloween

It's funny how it looks so little and so simple, but realistically, it's going to be crazy! Aside from all that, I am loving the weather so far. Texas is not known for Fall weather, really we aren't known for any other weather than hot, but since the start of Fall, I have been pleasantly surprised. There have been a few rainy days but overall, it's been sunny with a breeze. I'm looking forward to the real Fall weather! Being able to wear sweaters, leggings, boots, scarves, I look forward to that, but we probably won't get that sweater-weather until at least mid-November. Good news is, we will be off in Florida for Thanksgiving and last year, we were so surprised at how cold it was.

Additionally, I am so ready for Christmas! Everything about Christmas is amazing. The movies, the gift giving, the lights, tons of craft shows like the Nutcracker Market, and spending time with family. I recently found a fun website that literally counts down to Christmas. How fun? Every now and then, I will head to the website just to see how many days we have left. Check out the website here! As of today, we have 84 days! Ahh!! Have you started buying gifts yet? I haven't, but I have started thinking about what I want to get people, does that count?

Playing Catch-Up {11.08.2014}

We haven't been around much, life tends to get in the way, and aside from that, we haven't really had much going on. I'm very much looking forward to Thanksgiving because we will finally be spending it with my side of the family. This will be the very first year, since Erik and I got together, that we will be spending a holiday with my family. We will be heading to Florida to visit my mom's mom, my Grandma Lana and we can't forget my amazing Grandpa, Pop Rob! Erik and I have a few fun things going on over the next couple weeks so we figured this would be a great time to get back to posting. We also have a grand adventure coming up and it definitely calls for lots of posting and updates. Recently, we lost a good friend that Erik and I have known since elementary. It came as a total shock considering he was only 22 years old. We are not prepared for his viewing or funeral but know that he is in a better place.

We look forward to posting more as the year goes on and once our adventure begins, we will be posting more and more, mostly for updates.

Here are some pictures to cover the time we've been gone.
We finally went to shoot my gun that I've had for almost 2 years. We didn't do too bad for our first time shooting.
I even let Erik shoot a few rounds of my gun hehe
We partied with our best friends as they celebrated the pregnancy of their first baby...Baby Madison!
I threw Erik a surprise 23rd birthday dinner! It was at the Houston Texans Grille with his family. We played pool, and enjoyed a nice evening on the patio.
We also stopped by The Anderson's home and saw this little lady. Hard to believe she is already a 1 year old! Stop growing up Baby Alli!!!
Of course we hung out at the Texas Ren Fest, you know we always do! We enjoyed a wonderful day at Ren Fest and both of us got in on the fun! This is Erik after being chosen to volunteer for sword fighting.
We had to take a selfie!!! (I must admit, this is a great photo of us haha)
Here is a photo of our fur-babies, just because they are too cute!!!

Thanks for stopping by and reading! We will post more soon so stick around.

God Bless and Baby Dust

It's October~Happy Fall Y'all!!! {10.01.2014}

Happy October 1st!

Can you believe that we are already in October? Geez! Only 3 more months and we will be in 2015!!! What?! I remember starting high school and thinking about 2014 & 2015, it all seemed like a dream. I think back to 1005 and I am almost certain that I thought by 2015 we would have flying cars and cell phones with projector capabilities, but not so much...although, side note, the new iphone 6 is pretty cool looking.

So in honor of October, I wanted to share some of the photos of fun and beautiful Fall decor ideas to get your Fallspiration!!!
I am in love with these lanterns! Especially love the candles.
These candle holders are so easy to make! It would even be cute without candles.
Just loving this porch! The fall colors are incredible.
I'm so ready to make this pumpkin! Just head to a craft store and pick up your supplies and get crafty ladies!!
I'm loving these painted pumpkins. I don't always have time to carve pumpkins so painting is easy and look how beautiful these are.

I hope this inspired you and I hope you have started pulling out those decorations and gearing up for the best time of the year...FALL!!!

Well wishes and Baby Dust for a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or even better...a CHRISTMAS baby!!!
