Best Wishes and Baby Dust

It's October~Happy Fall Y'all!!! {10.01.2014}

Happy October 1st!

Can you believe that we are already in October? Geez! Only 3 more months and we will be in 2015!!! What?! I remember starting high school and thinking about 2014 & 2015, it all seemed like a dream. I think back to 1005 and I am almost certain that I thought by 2015 we would have flying cars and cell phones with projector capabilities, but not so much...although, side note, the new iphone 6 is pretty cool looking.

So in honor of October, I wanted to share some of the photos of fun and beautiful Fall decor ideas to get your Fallspiration!!!
I am in love with these lanterns! Especially love the candles.
These candle holders are so easy to make! It would even be cute without candles.
Just loving this porch! The fall colors are incredible.
I'm so ready to make this pumpkin! Just head to a craft store and pick up your supplies and get crafty ladies!!
I'm loving these painted pumpkins. I don't always have time to carve pumpkins so painting is easy and look how beautiful these are.

I hope this inspired you and I hope you have started pulling out those decorations and gearing up for the best time of the year...FALL!!!

Well wishes and Baby Dust for a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or even better...a CHRISTMAS baby!!!

PCOS Diet Plan Day 1 {09.29.2014}

So far, we are off to a good strat! It was so, so nice being able to wake up and just grab my food and go! Meal prep has been a HUGE sigh of relief for me because now I can take those extra few minutes to wake up and get dressed. One of the things that shocked me, was that I felt full all day! I was even struggling to eat my tiny pumpkins seeds, but managed to make 1/2 a cup an all day snack...impressive! Lunch was boring, but dinner was where it was at! I got home, cut up my zucchini and asparagus, threw my chicken in a pan and cooked all of it in coconut oil. It was one of the best meals I've ever made! Even the hubby, who was a little worried about the taste and texture of the coconut oil, was amazed at how delicious the meal turned out. Best part...I only used two seasonings! Cajun seasoning for the zucchini and asparagus, and a salt and pepper pre-mixed blend for the chicken. I was also impressed with the color of the chicken. It was a beautiful golden brown on the outside, but white and juice on the inside. I guess you could say that I am really into coconut oil now. After a bath, I decided to rub some coconut oil on my face, underarms, and belly. It's a very relaxing feel, not too oily but not too thick like lotion. So this means that I have officially jumped onto the coconut oil wagon at full speed ahead!!! While we are talking food (& coconut oil lol) I wanted to go ahead and post my "stats" from the first day of my diet. Check them out...

**************************************************
Well that's my update for day 1! I am really enjoying it so far. It's not all that different from what the hubs and I used to eat, but the major difference is that before we didn't necessarily have a reason to eat on a diet, now it's to help me fight PCOS and hopefully be blessed with our Rainbow Baby! I'm so looking forward to the day that we can say we conceived naturally, and although I would be just as happy to conceive with a doctors assistance, just the joy of being able to say that we beat the odds is something we dream of daily!

I'm still looking for a few PCOS buddies who are willing to take this diet plan and run with it alongside me. If that's you, then please email me at pcospower@yahoo.com, or comment to me on our Instagram page at PCOSPower!

Lots of well wishes and tons of baby dust to all!

Much Love and God Bless

The Benefits of Coconut Oil for PCOS! {09.30.2014}

Ladies, ladies, ladies!
(& Gentlemen, this is for you too)

Let's talk about the amazing benefits of...
Oh my goodness, it is outstanding! I know that I have been praising this little jar of awesomeness, but I think it's time you really understood why I LOVE it so much! Remember when kids in class used to say they loved something and another child would yell, "if you love it so much, why don't you marry it?" Well y'all, if I could marry coconut oil (& keep my hubby of course lol), then I would, hands down I absolutely would!

Alright, so let's talk about benefits here. First thing is, aside from it being great for massages (*hint to husbands everywhere: add a little sugar to soft, warm, and melted coconut oil and your woman will praise you forever*), it is also a great tool to use for PCOS, amongst a million other things too! Now, I won't get into too much detail on ALL one million amazing things this product can do, but what I will do is give you ten *important* things this product can be used for DAILY! Here are my favorite top ten daily uses for coconut oil...
1) Yep! That's right, rub this bad boy on your lips for soft, kissable lips! No need to buy tons of lip balm when this is all it takes.
2) You know you hate those stretch marks (unless they are a beautiful symbol of your healthy baby *note* so jealous you can wear those stripes to show off motherhood, I want mine!!!) so get rid of them but rubbing coconut oil on them nightly.
3) Hallelujah! Coconut oil gives you ENERGY! And everyone knows, we need more of that.
4) Tired of spending money on makeup remover that leaves you oily and feeling like your pores are clogged? Well rub some of this in you in the shower or at the sink, rinse your face with a warm wash cloth and makeup & dirt will be removed while also cleaning those pores and eliminating acne.
5) Just another friendly reminder about massages ;)
6) Don't spend $500 or even $50 on teeth whitener when you can just add this to your brush, and BOOM white teeth!
7) A little TMI, but you can definitely use this as a little "push" while being intimate! Keep in mind that it should not be used while trying to get pregnant, you will want sperm to be able to swim in the cleanest "water" so make sure you aren't using saliva or coconut oil during ovulation. But for playtime, it's great!
8) Softens skin and can kill bacteria? It doesn't get any better, does it ladies? Best part, you can add your own scent so that you can use a lotion replacement.
9) Once again, rub this in on all areas of your body for smooth, baby-like skin. Can also be used as a natural deodorant so definitely put under the underarms at night for soft, radiant underarms.
& finally...
10) GET RID OF CELLULITE!!! Finally, a product that will get rid of that miserable cellulite.

Well, now you know why I have a real obsession with coconut oil! I hope this has encouraged you to at least try it for yourself. If you do, please let me know if you liked it or if you hated it.

***I will be posting an update on my PCOS Diet Day 2 stats later this evening!***

PCOS Diet...The Beginning {09.28.2014}

Happy Go Texans Sunday!!!

I have recently started attending weekly acupuncture appointments and while there, my acupuncturist put me on herbal medication to start my period, and without getting TMI overboard, I am now 66 days late! Negative pregnancy tests, and no sign of AF showing her face. Well after a few weeks of taking the medication, I starting getting very dizzy and even threw up a few times. At the following appointment, my acupuncturist decided to take me off and not surprisingly, the dizziness and vomiting went away. So over the course of the last week, I started researching deeper into PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), which I believed I had from the beginning but was never "diagnosed" with it. From my research I found quite a few videos and articles talking about how PCOS is an insulin resistant, hormone in-balance that affects the ovaries. I found that losing weight can drastically reduce the size and possibly even reverse cysts. So after a few more days of research, I found a grocery list and meal plan that worked for me. I will be starting this diet plan tomorrow and will hopefully have some success. One of my good friends was able to diet, lose a good amount of weight, and get pregnant with a healthy baby girl, mind you, she has gone through countless doctors and taken lots of medication to get pregnant and it has only resulted in multiple miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. Today we went grocery shopping and tomorrow I start the diet. I will be doing a weekly "check-in" which will include weight, energy, and more! I am staying hopeful and praying that this is the answer we have been looking for. I am looking for someone who can join me on this journey, it can be one person or a million people, but I want to have a support group in the hopes that we can help one another along our TTC journey! I look forward to posting tomorrow!

Best wishes and baby dust!!!

Quick Update! {09.26.2014}

Hello Bloggers!!!

We have been sooo busy, which seems to be the "thing" now in our house. We vacationed on a cruise in July, then at the end of August we flew out to Las Vegas (photos below of course), and now, September is FULL of birthdays! I just turned 22 and tonight, we will be celebrating another special family birthday. I want to start blogging and Vlogging regularly but recently, aside from being crazy busy with school, a fulltime job, and owning a photography business I can't seem to find the time but I'm determined to make time! With that being said, from now on, I will be making weekly posts to our blogspot and weekly Vlogs to our YouTube channel. So many things are taking place now, and I'm ready to share them with you in the hopes that it may also help you! I look forward to making another post to give you a full update on our TTC journey and plans. God bless!

Here we are on the plane heading to Vegas!
Hey we made it to Vegas!
M&M world was amazing! And smelled so good too!
Oh what fun! The Zombie Experience in Vegas is a definite must if you visit!
Cirque De Soleil show was spectacular! Carrot Top was hilarious but no photos were allowed.

Thousands of flowers filled the Bellagio, so beautiful!
Paris and New York New York were stunning.
Ahhh the Bellagio, so breath-taking!
Fremont Street should be the first thing on everyone's list of "to-do's" while in Vegad! What a blast!

There were tons of photos taken but I'm not going to drive you crazy with them, so there's a few. Well, that's all I've got today, but I did want to mention that that saying "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" is so wrong! I am horribly allergic to cigarette smoke (which I didn't find out until Vegas) and I have returned for about 4 weeks now and still have allergies affecting me...so there's that! Oh well, at least it was a great trip!

See you soon for a TTC update!
